Product Description:
Gabion basket is a kind of widely used material structure in
engineering projects. It is also called gabion mesh, green grid,
gabion retaining wall, Reynolds pad, reinforced gabion, and gabion
cage. It is usually composed of corrosion-resistant high-strength
low-carbon galvanized steel wire or 5% ~ 10% thin alloy coated
steel wire (or homogeneous coated polymer steel wire). The double
hinge part of the mesh should not be less than 5cm. According to
engineer design requirements, the mesh can be assembled into boxes
and loaded with stones and other filling materials to form an
integrated structure, which is used for embankment and roadbed
protection. The related industry standard is YB/T4221-2010.

is a prominant new material structure that has been widely used in
recent years, in traffic, water conservancy, municipal, gardens,
soil and water conservation and other engineering projects. This
particular type of mesh is corrosion-resistant and is manufactured
from high strength and low carbon galvanized steel wire or 5% ~ 10%
thin alloy coated steel wire (or homogenous coated polymer steel
wire), which are twisted and woven together. Moreover,in order not
to destroy the protective coating of the steel wire, the length of
double hinge part of the mesh should not be less than 5cm. For
additional information, please refer to the industry standard
YB/T4221-2010. The ecological grid can be assembled into boxes as
per engineering design requirements,gand loaded with stony blocks
or other suitable filling materials, forming an entirly solid
structure that can be used as embankment, roadbed protection and
other engineering related projects.
Technical Parameters:
This material uses low carbon steel wire. It is available in 2X1X1,
3X1X1, and 4X1X1 sizes and is customizable (M). The weaving
technology used is twist knitting and the mesh ranges from one
quarter to eight. The wire diameter is 1.5mm to 5.0mm and the
aperture can be 60*80, *100, *120, 120*150, or 160*180. It is
sourced from Anping, Hebei, and common uses for it includes coastal
defense engineering, river protection, and garden landscape. The
surface treatment processes that are available are plastic-coated
PVC, galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, and PVC+PE electrostatic
spraying.
Applications:
Stone cage net is mainly used to guide the river water, so that the
rivers tend to follow the current channel instead of a new one.
When floods come, a huge amount of water with tremendous flow
velocity may occur. In this catastrophic situation, the force of
inertia tends to lead the water to a direct route, which would
disturb the original water course and dam and cause severe damage.
In order to mitigate the rapid erosion of the embankment due to
flood water, stone cage cage or stone cage mat is used to cover
both the inside and the edges of the river. This will buffer the
strong impact of the turbulent water and protect the existing dam
or channel. For a river that flows in a curvature, the use of stone
cages or cage mats can guide the water with a turn, making sure
that the flow of the water keeps within the designated parameters.
Furthermore, stone cage net is often applied to the spillway dam
and diversion dam in order to regulate the flow or divert the water
before it overflows. In this way, the harm caused by the flood can
be minimized.
